Our Favorite Fall Bites, as Seen in “Special Events Magazine”

At Entertaining Company, our snack game is strong — and we *love* a delicious and elevated appetizer.

Appetizers are part of the ‘theater’ of any memorable meal; they set the stage for flavors to come, introduce a pop of surprise, and allow for numerous entry points into different cultures and palates. The best part? The instruments, serving utensils, mini plates, platters and installations they’re served in.

Our Founder and Creative Director – Wendy Pashman – was interviewed by “Special Events Magazine” about her favorite appetizer trends for Fall, along with talent from Wolfgang Puck Catering, Abigail Kirsch, Forte Belanger, and beyond. We love hearing what our peers and culinary artists are doing in their kitchens, and sharing the ideas that get our mouths watering. Sound bite below from Wendy on a favorite trend for Fall 2019.

“At Chicago-based Entertaining Company, Founder/Creative Director Wendy Pashman adds Korean chicken wings with scallions, fried shallots, garlic and chive flowers to the mix. “We are also loving Roy’s [restaurant]-inspired Lakanilau rolls of wagyu beef, tempura asparagus, avocado, sesame miso and truffled greens, as well as the for- ever-popular coconut-lime shrimp skewers,” she says. “Huli-huli bone- less chicken wings with soy, pine- apple and ginger are a nod to ’50s tiki pool parties and are delighting a whole new generation.”

A beautiful photo of another fan favorite – our Indian-inspired plantain chip with tandoori chicken – below. We can’t wait to plan your menu for a Fall fete. Visit https://entertainingcompany.com/contact/ to get in touch about your next event.
