New Artisan Spotlight: Victoria Buchler
We are extremely pleased to introduce another amazing artist to The Storied Table: Victoria Buchler. Victoria’s passion is like none-other and the ceramics she creates are no different. She says her love for clay began in high school when she found herself spending a little too much time watching thick slip build up on the surface of pots or ooze down their side; the love Victoria has for the material truly comes through in her final products.
Romantic and modern with earthy elements is a style we have grown to love and Victoria’s collection embodies all of those wonderful vibes. When we first came across her products, we were instantly intrigued by their earthy yet modern style that incorporate eye-catching color and pattern. (In love with the vibrant blue!) Victoria’s pottery studio was created just under two years ago in her Portland home where she spends about 40 hours a week researching and creating new things. She says, “My ego is constantly put into check in the studio and so in this way, my studio practice has become vitally important to my well-being.”
Victoria finds her motivation in her customers, and the thought that her work will become part of someone else’s home, which is why we are excited to expand her reach to all of you. We think that each piece is perfect for your daily rituals like morning cereal or evening tea. They could also be great for planting tiny succulents and cacti; so versatile and perfect home or event embellishments.
