Air & Water Show: Specialty Menus for Your Rooftop Watch Party
There are few things Chicagoans will stop in their tracks for: a perfectly grilled char dog (with celery salt and sport peppers, please), a 90 degrees and sunny skyline, and of course – the Air & Water Show.
This year is the 61st annual and all of Chicago will gather on the roof decks, patios and pools of the Gold Coast to watch the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds zoom through the open sky on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18th.
It’s one of our favorite summer days at EC, and we’re excited to share three custom Air & Water Show menus that your rooftop guests will love.

The High Rise Brunch
Smoked Salmon Presentation | Thinly sliced smoked salmon, Bermuda onion, chopped egg, tomato, whipped cream cheese and freshly baked bagels.
French Toast | Thick slices of Entertaining Company challah with powdered sugar, cinnamon butter florets and fresh sliced strawberries.
Asparagus and Goat Cheese Frittata

Reception Size Cocktail Sandwiches | roasted sirloin of beef with arugula and whipped horseradish dressing; grilled caesar chicken with garlic thyme, sun-dried tomato, arugula and mayo; turkey with Havarti, mixed greens and grainy mustard and vine-ripened tomato with mozzarella, fresh basil, shaved parmesan, wild field greens, sun-dried tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.
Summer Farro Salad | Heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, red onions and sweet bell peppers.

Sky High All Day Cocktail Finger Foods
Charcuterie + Cheese Board | Selection of imported and domestic cheeses and assorted charcuterie. Grainy and dijon mustard, cornichons, French olives, house-made breads, crackers and flatbread, fresh herb bundle garnish.
Baba Meze Board | Middle Eastern dips, breads with seasonal raw vegetables, baba ghannouj, lentil dip, feta olive salsa, toasted pita chips and flatbreads.
Assorted Bars And Cookies | chocolate pecan squares, fudge brownies, raspberry linzers, old fashioned chocolate chips and oatmeal-raisin cookies.
