Fresh Indian Summer
Fresh Indian summer inspirations were on the menu yesterday at the Bridgeport Art Center South Asian wedding Open House. Entertaining Company, Ashland Addision Floral and Events Decor and Pink Elephant Events partnered to produce a fresh take on South Asian food and décor just in time for the upcoming wedding season. Accompanied by stylish food labeling by Devika’s company, Pink Elephant Events, Entertaining Company offered a refreshing Tropical Salad of mango, jicama, toasted coconut, grilled pineapple, cucumber, jalapeno, spicy roasted chickpeas, starfruit, and a light pineapple vinaigrette, garnished with grilled Indian Spiced Shrimp and shaved coconut. In honor of Earth Day, salads were served on 100% biodegradable “boats”. Since we’re in love with Poke Bowls of all sorts~ Entertaining Company created a modern Indian style vegetarian version featuring spiced fried paneer, edamame, cucumber, watermelon relish, popcorn shoots and julienne of crispy pappadum. Small sustainable forks were used along with clear vessels to see all the layers of flavors.
Guests enjoyed their afternoon snacks on our mega 36” inch The Storied Table Sameera trays which served as table tops to the table “legs” created by Ramsey, at Ashland Addision florist. We love these Sameera trays that we have seen used as buffet surfaces, hightop tables, as well as large Mezze surfaces at Entertaining Company’s catered events. The hammered detailing throughout these trays are truly amazing giving them a beautiful ethnic feel.
We love to share so please contact us for wholesale any orders. The Sameera trays also come in smaller sizes to serve different purposes throughout your #storiedhome.
