December in Chicago

It is a beautiful time of year around the city. Holiday happiness is in the air. Patiently waiting for the first major snow fall to kick off winter in Chicago. With so many sights to see. Holiday markets to shop. Twinkling lights to see. And of course cozy warm food and drinks to consume. We wanted to create a “Holidays in Chicago Guide” to promote a few of our favorite happenings.

First is Holidose which is the holiday gift inspired Dose Market. We are thrilled to be apart of the market this year showcasing The Storied Table Collection from our EC Home Store. There are over 130 vendors selling beautifully hand-crafted pieces that make for perfect gifts. Holidose is taking place on Sunday December 10th at Morgan Manufacturing. It starts at 10am and goes until 5pm. There is a bar for those who like to shop with a cocktail in hand. As well as food vendors cooking up some of the most delicious foods. If you’ve never been, this the year to check it out!

Taking a stroll through the Lincoln Park Zoo to experience the Zoolights is another must see. It’s a free event for all. Christmas music playing throughout and there are animals to be seen. What could be much better than that! There are food and drink vendors within the zoo and fun sights to be seen for the whole family.

Christkindlmarket is probably the most famous market to explore during the holidays. 2017 marks their 22nd year. This is a hot spot for homemade German cuisine. Freshly made hot chocolate and gorgeous trinkets that will have you wondering from vendor to vendor all afternoon. The market is open until Christmas Eve so make sure this is on your list of places to check out this holiday season.

Happy December!
