Covid-19 EC Update: How We’re Staying Super Safe as a Business During Coronavirus

The past few months have been a whirlwind!! The EC team has been on the scene in Chicago and the nearby suburbs, for family-meal deliveries, intimate backyard BBQs, micro weddings, speciality corporate dropoffs, and beyond. We want to extend a warm “thank you!” to everyone who has ordered with us during this time. 

The Entertaining Company team has developed a new suite of Covid-19 related cleaning, sanitation and safety precautions to make sure that we’re as safe as possible throughout our catering process, from prep at our industrial-grade kitchen all the way through cleanup. 

Here’s a look at what we are doing as a business: 

-All staff are tested 2x monthly on the 1st and 15th – this is a requirement for everyone in order to be booked for events + company activities (kitchen staff, waiters, sales, and delivery crews). 

-All staff temperatures are taken onsite at every event and in our kitchen daily.  

-All staff and EC employees wear masks during prep, event, and cleanup. 

-We do rigorous cleaning and sanitation of all kitchen + event equipment.

-We have maintained a dedicated delivery staff that has not changed since the start of Covid. 

-We have maintained a dedicated kitchen staff that has not changed since the start of Covid. 

-We provide disposable gloves and PPE for our events; all items are single use and disposed of promptly after events. 

-We provide hand sanitizer on-site at all of our events. 

-All of our delivery orders are contactless (we text you to let you know it’s arrived).
