EC Team in The Wild – Soaking Up The Last of Summer

We’re weekend warriors and we’re soaking up the end of summer — loading up our friends’ vans with tents, boots and straw hats for the last of the sunshine before fall hits.

We take our weekends seriously — we love a good day trip and approach our leisure time like amateur anthropologists, scouting out new venues and locations, peeking into antique shops, tasting local dishes and wines, and seeing what new sensory details we can bring to our guests.

We’re obsessed with the outdoors and the beauty of the Midwest. To that end, we’re sharing some of our team’s favorite trails and camping destinations — the spots which make our summers complete. Grab your buddies and load it up for a final few weeks of fun (good thing we can always jump on a plane in the fall).

Trails

Palos Trail System – Palos offers nine different trails and nearly 25 miles of mountain biking.

Adventure Hiking Trail – true to its name, this is a winding hiking loop that includes cliff formations, sinkholes, ravines, and old pioneer homesteads.

Ice Age Trail – a National Scenic Trail stretching 1,200 miles in the state of Wisconsin in the United States.

Camping

Camp Bullfrog Lake – a classic spot for camping and canoeing.

Chain O’ Lakes State Park – with nearly 6,500 acres of water and 488 miles of shoreline, Chain O’Lakes State Park is a Pisces’ wonderland.

Rock Cut State Park – Rock Cut’s hiking trails, horseback riding trails and cross-country skiing and wildlife watching make it a year round recreation destination.
