Vibrant Vegetarian Inspiration

The vegetarian/vegan population is growing. And we are noticing that more and more people are requesting a wider range of vegetarian options to offer their guests. That’s why we wanted to take a moment, less than 300 words, to showcase a few meatless menu items you could have added to your next event! From the start of your cocktail hour through the service of entrée, we hope that every dietary need is taken care of.

First up are our fresh Asian spring rolls with julienne of vegetables and a sweet chili drizzle. These little bites are so fresh and delicious. Pair perfectly with a raw bar presentation. And an easy grab and go hors d’oeuvre.

We recently catered an event that had this cool frozen first course. The hosts of the party were huge fans of shrimp cocktail but didn’t want their vegetarian friends to be left out. So our chefs created a veggie version! Custom ice cups filled with lettuce, avocado, carrot, charred corn, jicama, bell peppers, radish, cherry tomatoes and a lime cilantro vinaigrette. The original jumbo shrimp cocktail was filled with a horseradish cocktail sauce and fresh lemons. Both ended up being really great options. And picture perfect presentations.

Lately, we are having people only offer one meat entree option and putting an emphasis on the vibrant vegetarian dish. Pictured below are a few of our most commonly requested meatless entrees. First is the gorgeous oversized phyllo purse over a bed of cauliflower risotto filled with roasted seasonal vegetables. An absolute show stopper. Next is the eggplant lasagna. With layers of creamy melted cheese. Sauteed spinach. Fresh eggplant. Drizzled with house made marinara sauce. Garnished with our nut free pesto. The last picture is the Roman gnocchi entree. Roasted Heirloom Tomato Coulis. Topped with fresh whipped burrata. And a basil pesto drizzle. Take your pick!

Vegetarian and vegan requests aren’t the only dietary restrictions we accommodate to. Don’t be afraid to ask your sales consultant to add more variety to your menus. After all, you know your crowd more than us!

Cheers,
Entertaining Company
