Contemporary Indian Style

Modern fusion Indian culinary artistry has been our jam since 2001 at sister company Entertaining Company. We’ve catered countless South Asian weddings from Chicago Cultural Center, to Union Station, to Northerly Island and beyond. Our love affair with India began with the taste and smell of the food.

Now, through The Storied Table, we’re expanding our repertoire beyond the stove (or tandoor) and into the dining room with tabletop that fits the modern South Asian sensibility. Gone are the more traditional Raj Style vivid oranges, reds, and purples.

Our current focus, instead, is to work with colors that are suited to the modern settings in which our South Asian Entertaining Company clients live and the sophisticated way they entertain. That means tending to go more toward a cool tranquil palette of silver, grays and blues and well as a warm palette of mixed metals while still retaining an elegant and graceful styling. We’re focusing on interesting styled trays, chargers, entertaining platters and pieces that can be used for cocktail parties, seated dinners or family style serving.
