Modern Day Wedding Registries – Part Two!
In an increasingly mobile age where couples are getting engaged later and cohabitation earlier, is the traditional wedding registry still relevant? What do couples need today? And what do they want? Is more stuff a gift or a burden?

While our last article talked about how a registry provided an opportunity to cultivate a couple’s style as they built a home together, this article looks beyond the traditional household item.
We want to talk about a new registry trend we’re seeing, and a unique registry offering from The Storied Table that will satisfy today’s modern couples and gift-givers alike.
Our inspiration came from engaged couples and gift-givers themselves. We uncovered a few facts that are very interesting. First, some couples either already owned a lot of household items or simply didn’t want more objects. Second, we found out that grooms today are a lot more involved in the registry process than the industry gives them credit for (check out the hashtag #RegistryAdventures on Instagram for some fun shots!). Third, gift-givers are seeking standout wedding present ideas.
Based on our findings, we’ve crafted a list of experiential gift items, in addition to our unique tabletop items, that will appeal to both couples and gift givers! The Storied Table is excited to offer the addition of custom-crafted experiences, including Private Cooking Lessons, Cultural Food tours with Wendy, and even a philanthropic options such as the ability to donate 100 meals to the bride and groom’s favorite charity.
