Gifts for your Host this Holiday
Holiday gift giving is an especially challenging time since special friends and family may have everything they “need” but not everything they WANT. The pressure is on us, the gift giver, to intuit the secret wishes and desires of our nearest and dearest. For friends and family members who love to entertain (as we do) we think these splurges will satisfy secret desires and are at the same time, both artful and functional.
A Gift for the Cocktail Loving Host
The Azizi Decanter is one we adore for the cocktail maven or just the design conscious friend that sets the bar. Even an everyday wine is elevated , literally, when placed in this glass decanter perched atop the little silver tray that also catches a wine drip before it can hit the linen.
A Gift for Our Friend, The Baker
Is perhaps the best part of baking, actually offering the pie to your guests at the holiday table? For this reason we love the elegant pie serving piece, The Upton. Affordably priced at $30.00 we are often giving one for a hostess gift and keeping one for ourselves. Thanksgiving pie bar anyone?
A Gift for the Romantic
Candles set the mood and we’re loving masses of small batch hand dipped paraffin and beeswax candle from Mexico. We found candle heaven in a workshop near San Miguel Allende, Mexico and couldn’t wait to stock our pantry (and site). We think a table set with a candle, or better yet, candles, is a simple way to makes everyday life just a little bit more special.
A Gift for Our Designer Friend
The Astrid Bowl is an elegantly organic everyday bowl that fits in well with modern or traditional decor. We enjoy the asymmetrical artful shape and think we never have enough interesting bowls in our collection and that one more is just enough.
A Gift for our Best Man Friend
Our grey blocked linen table runner adds a worldly element to the table and is easily dressed up or down with the addition of heritage silver, for a formal look, or Viveterra, for casual pizza night.
