Cheney Mansion is a historic landmark in Chicago, known for its beauty, charm, and personal details. Once a private family home, this is an intimate venue, despite its 12,000 square feet, with elegant entry and living room, wood paneled library, reception rooms, six bedrooms, coach house and greenhouse. The space was designated as a local landmark in 2004 and is in close proximity to the Frank Lloyd Wright Historic District. Fun fact: the architect of the Cheney Mansion, Charles E. White, studied with Frank Lloyd Wright and was heavily influenced by his style, particularly the idea that a structure should blend with its natural surroundings (you’ll see this feature in some of the detailing of the home). This is a perfect destination for an iconic Midwestern wedding, or epic family get together.
