Mazel tov! The mitzvah milestone is a big moment in every young Jewish person’s life, and more than enough reason for the whole family and friends to celebrate. As a custom caterer, we love to create unique, hyper-tailored menus for each child and family, taking detailed stock of the event scheme. We specialize in multi-generational bat and bar mitzvah catering, with innovative food and drink for the whole guest list. We believe in food that honors the traditions and rituals of the mitzvah (challah bread, always) while also always seeking unique perspectives on classic Jewish foods, like suggesting mini salmon tacos with lime as well as traditionals like mini lox and bagels.

We thoroughly love taking a client’s artistic vision and creating a clear, detailed concept around which to design our food. We take every element into account—the signage, the serveware, the centerpieces, the food packaging, even our servers’ uniforms—to drive home the thematics. From a Green Bay Style Tailgate Mitzvah to a reality TV show remake to a journey through Broadway history, we’ve developed the culinary experience and catered it all. We love when the Mitzvah child comes to us with ideas. We’ve even had the joy of working with a budding young artist who wanted to contribute her own design for the centerpiece cakes on each table at her mitzvah.

Our Approach to Jewish Celebrations

Entertaining Company is known for its creative approach to every type of party. When working with a client or a mitzvah party planner, we begin with a confab to dive headfirst into the vision and overall idea. How can we enhance the theme? What can we provide to design an immersive experience for all guests? We also take careful note of dietary restrictions, nearly all of which we can accommodate, from basic kosher style to gluten-free to totally vegan (all foods will be labeled!). When working in multigenerational mitzvahs, we often provide two separate menus—one accessible enough for kids and one sophisticated and enough for adults. We even offer buffet menus for kids and seated/plated dinner courses for adults. And to top it all off, we would be more than happy to help you find the perfect venue!
