Rustic Urban Style

Our Rustic Urban Oasis Mood Board is inspired by the style we see out our window, everyday.

The Storied Table is based in Chicago within an area called the “West Loop” which is pretty much the aesthetic definition of “Rustic Urban” Style. Surrounded by brick rehabbed lofts, the Chicago El, fantastic venue spaces like Morgan Manufacturing and Morgans on Fulton, we love the once gritty and now thriving neighborhood we work from.

For a bride and groom with an urban aesthetic, who wants to incorporate a bit of edge into their wedding and future home, the Rustic Urban style for event or home is a current style trend. Metallic trays such as the Tomo, Cari and Aruna, and Edie morph from event hors d’oeuvres passing trays to cocktail buffet tray to home dining centerpiece with the addition of a succulent or two.

The wood Mikki Tray can be used as a family style cheese and fruit centerpiece at the wedding or makes a wonderful wedding registry gift for the entertaining bride and groom.

Multiple long tables, which are so much a style of the Rustic Urban Wedding, look great when covered with a textile runner like Banning, Ruba or Saba that brings a bit of texture and softness to a weathered wood dining table.

For home use, the artisan made wire Nano napkin ring, a The Storied Table exclusive, elevates the style of any napkin and table setting.
